Now heres a bill I could get behind

Recommended Posts

A Missouri senator is floating a bill that would mandate that children are shown the NRA's Eddie Eagle program.

Not so sure that 1st graders are mature enough to understand it. But a child knowing to leave the gun alone and get an adult, is a great improvement over picking it up and doing what he/she sees on TV.

Also included is training for teachers on what to do if a shooting occurs.

Kindergarteners are taught songs, only to learn much much later that "Ring around the rosie" was about a terrible disease. None of that prevents them from learning the words or the basic meaning of:

STOP

DON'T TOUCH

LEAVE THE AREA

TELL AN ADULT

I like it, this nation was founded with guns, time to go back to basics and make them part of the way things are and teaching from a young age will only help that and teach proper care, handling and respect for them.

Too logical. Makes too much sense. It'll never happen.

No emotion involved--so by extension, it must be a bad idea.

Someone's "feelings" might get hurt, or they'll be "offended".

And yet, legislators in the SAME STATE, put forth insanity like this. Are people really this dumb? Don't answer that.
