So my wife got interested in shooting, after the story about the woman in Texas with the kids in the attic shooting the guy 5 times. Went to PD yesterday to get things started & to the range today--too nice out. She did better w/ Buckmark .22 than P226 9mm, hit the target each time w/the .22. Needs to get used to recoil, but good for 1st timer!

thats awesome. my wife is taking the nra basic pistol course with me in a couple of weeks. she's looking forward to it.

i think that story was GA not TX if you're referring to the one of the women in her attic, or maybe you're referring to something different. either way its great she is interested.

Good for her! Take baby steps, and try lots of guns, even a .357 loaded with .38's. Most all women can shoot a 4" .38 the best since recoil is mild, sight radius is great and balance and point-ability are superior. Or try a single-action full size 1911 in 9mm. Recoil is manageable, and confidence building is extraordinary.
