GunAuction vs Gunbroker

Recommended Posts

Anyone have experience with both and if so do you prefer one over the other? I was thinking about giving GunAuction a try after waiting almost four weeks for a reply to a question I'd asked the GB Staff. Having just stumbled on GunAuction for the first time today after an email blast from CTD I'm interested in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly for GunAuction. Looks like they have been around a while so just wondering what you guys thought. Yea or Nay, thank you in advance.

I've used both. From my (buyer's) perspective, there wasn't much difference between the two. Put bid in.. wait.. win auction.. make arrangements for transfer... done.

The biggest difference I've noticed is that gunbroker tends to have more of a selection to choose from.

gunbroker is larger, they also charge more in listing fees

gunauction (formerly auctionarms) is smaller and charges less in listing fees, they also have a "penny auction" category.

Both are stand up auction sites unlike "pennygunauction.com" which is a complete scam if you do the math.
