1 week wait for NICS check? is it true that they only accept FAXed paperwork? is there a number I can call to verify what's going on with my paperwork?

I would give the LGS/FFL a call and ask what the deal is. Call and see if you've been "delayed". If you have NOT been delayed, that's an unusually long process time.

NIcs is 3 - 4 days behind not 1 week. If your paperwork's not back then 1 of 3 things happened.

1. Dealer did not submit when you thought he did

2. Nics has lost your Fax (Yes it happens frequently)

3. Dealer has not called you with the approval

This. I watched my fax go through on a Wednesday at 6pm, and had a call on Monday morning that it was approved.
