RobertJames 14 Posted February 20, 2013 Smith & Wesson Tactical series. Not sure of the model number. I've got one, but looks like a smaller frame than what you posted. Mine's a 3913 TSW.

Porthole 15 Posted February 21, 2013 I had a 3913. Had to have the trigger guard on the lower right relieved because it dug into my finger and hurt. Also didn't care for the way it shot. Seemed to be very hard to get consistent groups.
High Exposure 5,662 Posted February 22, 2013 I was issued a 4013TSW when I first got hired at my agency. We had that piece of garbage for the first 3 years I was there before switching to G22s. Makes me shudder just thinking about it. I hated that gun. Awful long double action trigger and a gritty single action. The decocker was in a crappy place as well. The frames cracked often, right near the beaver tail, and they were very complicated to work on with hand fitting of most internal parts necessary. Hard to find holsters for them and they had a limited capacity with their almost single stack expensive mag. Do not want

Perhaps it's because I was not used to the .40 but it did have a rather gritty single action even as the gun had more than 2k rounds through her at last estimate. Not too much love for it on the S&W boards also.
Smokin .50 1,907 Posted February 22, 2013 A friend who is an ex PO has one in .40 and carried it for awhile, while a good looking gun IMO it just didn't fit or shoot well for me. Perhaps it's because I was not used to the .40 but it did have a rather gritty single action even as the gun had more than 2k rounds through her at last estimate. Not too much love for it on the S&W boards also. You KNOW I'm a S&W Fanboy, but I got to tell ya, I've NEVER liked S&W double-stacks since they first came-out! Here's why: Almost 30 years ago my best friend at the time bought a 9mm double-stack. I don't remember the exact model number. Just talking about that gun gives me a case of the heeby-geebies! You KNOW I can shoot straight! Well I sure as hell can with everything I've ever put in my hands EXCEPT that POS! Way-back-when at the South Brunswick Police outdoor Range off Fresh Ponds Road, my buddy & I go to shoot. From 25 yards neither of us could find the target backer cardboard (approx. 2'x3') in an entire box of ammo! I even tried shooting at all four corners to see if the sights were that far off out-of-the-box, all for nought! After the Range was called cold we moved to the 15 yard line---WITH THE SAME RESULTS! That POS was up for sale the next day! Heavy-a$$ double-action trigger, gritty as hell single-action too, just like other Poster's duty gun! If someone forced me to use a double-stack 9 (I don't even own one) I'd use the CZ 75B (sound familiar?) or a M-9 or a civilian copy. Never had a problem with any friend's I've tried! Have a nice day! Dave Fanboy of guns that function, lol!
BlueLineFish 615 Posted February 22, 2013 Just some info. These are single stack.
Porthole 15 Posted February 23, 2013 Guess it wasn't just me. 3913 was also called the Lady Smith IIRC, or maybe just my model was.
