Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 1, 2013 Model 11? Is it Medium or large frame? Well that is obscure, but it was only chambered in .38 S&W (also known as .38/200), never .38 S&W Spl. so that eliminates that. You'll have to ascertain frame size. Don't want to make this easy - not that it would be even if you knew.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 1, 2013 S&W Model 12? Nope - too common.
scohen2002 0 Posted March 1, 2013 I messed that up, meant model 638, because 640 is also .
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 1, 2013 I messed that up, meant model 638, because 640 is also .357 While I have a 638, and like it very much, it is hardly unusual or out of the ordinary. Nice try though. Good to see a new palyer in the game.

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 1, 2013 S&W 38/44 That's an excellent guess - wrong, but excellent. Kind of expresses the philosophy of the right answer though. That is the last clue. Adios, Pizza Bob

Parker 213 Posted March 1, 2013 You were closer before So, the N-frame is close(?), but it's not a M20 or an M23? I'm stumped.
302w 83 Posted March 1, 2013 Model 10! The most obscure of them all! My honest guess is its some relic of a handgun. Something back in the stone age, like 1970's and before.

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 1, 2013 Yeah, it's a relic - Manufactured in November 1997 - no lock, no MIM. @Parker - didn't necessarily mean that it's an N-Frame just that the Outdoorsman embodies the same philosophy. @Ray Ray - we've already ascertained that it's .38 Special in caliber, and eliminated the one .38 Spl semi-auto that S&W makes. It is a wheelgun and one you would like. Adios, Pizza Bob
JonF 79 Posted March 1, 2013 i'm thinking something like a 581/681 but those also shoot 357...
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted March 1, 2013 it's got to be a model with a 2 as the first digit. Like a 25 or 27 or something.
