I'm really digging the spartan IV or 5" in 9mm and I think this will be my next buy.

 

Can anyone direct me to any sites or shops that carry these?

The Spartan is true 1911 pattern and should take 1911 parts. The fire control parts are forged STI parts though the slide, barrel and frame are imports.

I'm kinda confused. Does the Spartan come with front serrations or not? I see some pics with and others without.

Dawson site shows without, JoeBobs shows with. Which is it?

Maybe it depends on barrel length. I believe they no make a Spartan III, IV and V

Just looked at their website. III and IV - no forward serrations. V has forward serrations.

Yea its only the 5" that has front serrations. The spartan IV has the 4.26" bull barrel I believe.

The last time I was at Lou's in Raritan they had 1-2 of the Spartan IV's in 9mm. I almost bought one of them, but ended up going with a revolver instead. I already have a 1911, but if I didn't I would have got the Spartan. Very nice feel and relatively low price.
