Hey Mike,

Before I forget--thanks for the loaner Storm! And thanks to Cheryl for loading my (YOUR) mags! It was indeed a real HOOT! That green dot worked well at low power inside!

Hope your family had a wonderful Easter!

Rosey

Glad you guys had a good time. Scores will be up before the end of the day. I enter each hit on target in my app, and then calculate the totals - but I run through it a few times to make sure there are no mistakes. We have had point total ties in the past that were resolved by number of X's vs. 10's.

We had a lot of new shooters this time around, so a lot of guys needed to be entered in the databse first.

Glad you guys had a good time. I'm just happy I finished the night without my gun blowing up on me.

This was a close one all around. A few ties that were determined by number of X hits, including first place in rimfire iron.

Mike beat the girls, but they were shooting rimfire iron. Gotta handicap that one since you had optics.

LOL @ Rosey coming in 3rd with a borrowed rifle, just "filling in"..

We had a great time - thanks to all for coming out!

Next one up is May 31. Of course, I will see most of you before then...

Looks like a certain pair of girls owe me some $$$$.............. But, they can give it to Rosie who kicked my butt BIG TIME with my own gun! Good shootin' Rosie!

Once I got used to that stock trigger and turned-down the dot to #2, I was in good shape. Thanks again for "the ride"! I did have a couple alibis, but so did others.

It's NICE to have friends!

      As a reference, please see ... ... ...

... ... ... if you are unfamiliar with the VTAC barricade.
Most, if not all, of the classes I've attended (Telluric Group, Viking Tactics, Defoor and Redback One) use either the VTAC barricade or something quite similar in training drills. Once I've gotten my 2012 sea legs at Old Bridge, I'd like to use barricades during some practice sessions. Does anyone ever run these, or something similar there?

Not sure what club policy is, but is there a way to store these on-site? I'd be more than happy to provide the material and labor to get a few built ... And maybe stash them somewhere for all to enjoy and practice with. These really are a great training aid.

For those in the know, is this even possible?

      Thanks,
      Ronky

      Spoiler: I lost, LOL.

      Video Description:

This video compares an average shooter to a grand master. I felt it would be interesting to put in perspective just how much faster a GM shoots using side by side footage. Basically they are more than twice as fast and more accurate. Quite incredible when you see it in person. You can see in one stage his (GM) mag falls out and an extra reload is needed and even still he finishes more than 2 seconds faster (for the string). In the last stage my footage has a head start and I still take more time a GM does to finish TWO stages! The end footage you can see how much faster a GM reloads and draws. The difference is staggering. As for me I need more practice, LOL!

Thanks to Mike D. for letting me use the footage.

    • I have a like new (only zeroed) PSA Sabre KAC M110 Clone in 7.62x51mm. This is PSA's clone version of the infamous Knights Armament M110. Very high quality, excellent 2 stage trigger, 20" chrome lined barrel, adjustable gas block, and is NJ legal with a pinned Surefire SOCOM muzzle brake.  Radian Raptor charging handle and Radian ambi safety. Upper and lower are billet receivers compatible with all KAC SR-25 and LMT MWS/MARS-H pattern receivers.  Im no where close to being a long range shooter but ive been able to get 0.7 MOA out of it with 175gr federal gold medal match ammo and Im sure the rifle is capable of much better accuracy. Asking $1650 (which is a steal for what you get) at any FFL thats a reasonable distance from Jersey City. I can also ship but that would be on your dime.  Optic/bipod etc not included but can be purchased if interested. Vortex Razor Gen-II HD 3-18x50 FFP with the new EBR-7C MRAD illuminated reticle in a 1.54 reptilia mount. Id include the optic for another $1700. Happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures. Not interested in any trades. Thank you.
