Beretta U22 Neos?

Has anyone used the Beretta U22 Neos? What do you think?

 

I've been a member of OBRPC for about a year now and have only participated in clay shooting.

 

I'm thinking of now participating in things like OBRAMS and Speed on Steel.

 

I would like to get a 22 handgun. I've seen a lot of rave reviews about the Ruger MKIII but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money right now.

 

If I buy a sub $400 gun right now, will I just want a Ruger down the road?

 

Will something like the U22 or any other 22 handgun suffice for 2 years?

 

Ok, I'm babbling now. I just got home from work and need to go to bed. I look forward to reading everyone's opinions when I wake up.

A ruger MKIII should be under $400. I have the MKIII and love it. My wife has the Neos but I don't like the trigger. Look at a buckmark pistol they are under $400 as well.

I have a NEOS. It's a nice gun. It'll definitely last you a while.

You can't beat the Ruger for the price.

I have the NEOS and like it. It'll do for a while unless/until you want to get really serious and spend more $$. Should be able to get one for less that $300 new.

I own a Buckmark and love it.

 

My dad has a Neos. I do not care for the location of the mag release, but only because it is not in the usual place. Also, the grip is kinda tiny for my hands.

 

I owned the S&W 22a. That is also a very good gun. I just preferred the weight and balance of the Buckmark.

I had two. (dual wielding works with those, good ejection pattern). Sights are bit blocky but can obviously put a scope of some kind on it (or red dot). Reliable (the two I had).
