NJ.com Poll on Mag Limits -Vote!

Recommended Posts

Very poorly worded poll. "Hi-Capacity" magazines are already banned in this state. Votes, 35 yes, 217 No. On a side note I copied this from the article

"New Jersey's already restrictive gun laws include an assault-weapon ban, a waiting period for gun purchases and a one-gun-a-month law."

I guess this is the new "delay".

There is a waiting period for handguns, which is never typically encountered because the time it takes to issue a P2P is longer than the waiting period.

Percentage against is encouraging, even though still a relatively small sample.I think the question is purposefully vague by not having a number that they feel constitutes "high capacity".

Still, the numbers in this poll, as of now w/713 responses, are almost 3 times the number of the polled that led to the "90%" background check figures. Neither is scientific, of course.

And yet our local representatives keep trying to cram this through.

How F'in skewed is this poll. To ban "high capacity" magazines. To date, nobody has successfully demonstrated evidence or definition as to what consitutes a "high capacity" versus "normal capacity" magazine.

NJ already has a law on the books banning "large capacity" magazines, capping to 15 rounds... assumed from our current law to be "normal capacity". Now the media is promoting that 15 rounds is the new "high capacity". Blood is boiling...
