Pat1085 0 Posted May 2, 2013 hello i don't know if this is the right section to be posting in but here it goes, this is my fist time using buds guns i picked an FFL in PA because of the NCIS wait here in nj. just got a call from buds today saying that its there policy that they only ship firearms to the state you live in. has any one ever dealt with buds before? Thank's,pat
tj462nj 32 Posted May 2, 2013 they are correct, a dealer must deliver the gun to you in the state where you reside
junkmanted 54 Posted May 2, 2013 i have had long guns sent to a pa dealer

tony357 386 Posted May 2, 2013 We seem to be getting a lot of online order questions... maybe the MODS could make a sticky for online ordering laws... That way we can just refer newbie's to the thread..

PK90 3,570 Posted May 2, 2013 I am running at about 75% on firearms, 50% on accessories, and 25% on ammo.
Pat1085 0 Posted May 2, 2013 the firearm i am getting shipped is a shotgun, PK90 i am all for supporting the local gun shops, all of the ones by me (south jersey) did not have the mossberg 500AP flex shotgun so the only choice i had was to go online. junkmanted what PA dealer did you use, also how long ago was your FFL transfer thanks everyone was not expecting a response so fast
302w 83 Posted May 2, 2013 Nothing against local FFLs, but I'd rather buy in PA. I understand your hands are tied but a 20 day NICS is unacceptable.
Maksim 1,504 Posted May 2, 2013 Nics right now is 12 days or so. You can buy a long gun in PA, but a handgun must go through the state where you live. After the shipping, transfer and nics, is typically cheaper in state anyway. Submit a price request.

Maksim 1,504 Posted May 2, 2013 What dealer was this? Every FFL I talked with, has been 11 to 12 nics days. Keep in mind, don't count Sundays.

PK90 3,570 Posted May 2, 2013 I am seeing 14-15 days now Maks. It keeps on going up. I spoke with a NSSF Rep and he said that Scott Bach is looking into it. I may call today to confirm.

AlDente67 563 Posted May 2, 2013 I am running at about 75% on firearms, 50% on accessories, and 25% on ammo. I'm not sure if you already do this in a section I missed, but could you post an inventory section? I would gladly drive down your way if I knew you had something I need in stock. I just don't want to make the drive to find nothing. And I don't want to annoy with phone calls. For instance, if you get a case of XX ammo in stock, let us know. And if there is a limit on # of boxes... I understand this might be a royal PITA to maintain though. Just thinking out loud.
NEAHS 11 Posted May 2, 2013 I say we delete those threads. Support your local gun shop. I'd love to support my LGS with all my purchases. But to wait 12 to 14 days on an instant background check is BS. And I will take my long gun purchases out of state and have the weapon the same day in most cases. The LGS owners should be the people complaining the most to the state for hurting their business income.
