How often did/do you call check on your FID/P2P?

Checked so much that the clerk knew me by name and by face! Super friendly though and they understand what we're going through for sure.

gave a call to the Hamilton sub-station today. Low and behold the trooper handling my app picked up off the bat which made it easier. He gladly checked on my status while i waited on the phone...(Cue jeopardy Music)....

 

Came back on the phone and said  "the trooper is finishing the background check" I then asked kindly about my references letters.

 

"I will leave a note for the trooper to get that moving, we contact them by phone"

 

and thats all for the 5 week status check haha. I assume my mental health check came back because he did not mention anything about that like he did last time. But you know what happens when you Ass-u-me.

It will be 9wks tomorrow.

I went in to inquire on the status of my FID and permits two weeks ago and they said it would be 2-3wks.

So I went in today and the detective in charge specifically said regarding my things that he would be calling me later this week or early next week. So I won't heckle them anymore.

most people seem to get very informative updates from local precincts. NJSP is like pulling teeth and does not like to give you any kind of lead times

Well I had a little bit of a sob story both times I checked with them so that might have greased the wheel...

However they were always very patient and pleasant when my dad checked in too.

Our clerks at Lacey Township are some very nice ladies.

I feel like if i don't call to check after six weeks, I won't get them. Last time I didn't call, took six months in sayreville. Since then, I get them the week after I call. Just got my 3 p2ps after calling last week.
