wooly bugger 1 Posted May 28, 2013 I read about these in this month's Field and Stream. These deliver the same energy as a .22 short but with slower velocity (heavier bullet.) http://www.midwayusa.com/product/927185/cci-quiet-ammunition-22-long-rifle-40-grain-lead-round-nose-box-of-500-10-boxes-of-50 Has anyone tried these? If accurate and somewhere in loudness between CBs (which don't shoot well for me) and shorts (which are OK), could be a winner. Probably a moot discussion for now, but I might as well plan for the future, when ammo becomes available again.
Urban Grunt 44 Posted May 28, 2013 Good for 50m or less In my cz lux with a 28.5" barrel less noise than a bb gun
RedBowTies88 41 Posted May 28, 2013 Extremely quiet, and I've hit soda cans at 75 yards with them. They are however SLIGHTLY louder then the CB shorts and longs
Tactical Turtle 11 Posted May 28, 2013 I have smacked a clays at 50 yards no issue. They will not run in a semi though

BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted May 28, 2013 Accurate out to 50 yards for me. Quiet out of a bolt 22 rifle. Not so quiet out of a 22 revolver.
Blueskybob 12 Posted May 29, 2013 Very Very Nice to use and more accurate than Coilbri. Will cycle in some semi auto rifles, but not consistent.
