So what do you drive?

Recommended Posts

American? Import? A bike? Rape van?

American,

Dodge Caliber or late 1999 Town Car.

No Jap/Chinese/North Korean cars for me, nothing against them I'm one of those "buy American, build American" type of people. Buy a Jap car and show up at work with it, I'll turn it over with one of the Cat loader's.

Don't own any bikes.

Rape van? That shits to extreme for me. A family member was pulled into a van once, it wasn't a rape van but it had a full office inside...it's a fun ride from what I've heard, they get you inside...take off...and drop you the **** off in the middle of nowhere. Okay, it's not a fun ride lol

I'll shift for myself...

..until they pry it from my cold, dead hand.

I've been driving Eurojunk for the majority of my life. Fun, but they're not either reliable or economical. Cars are an expensive hobby, but (I'm told) that at least they're cheaper than drugs or young women.

My wife and daughter drive saner American (Honda) cars and the spare is American (Toyota). After the auto manufacturer bailout, wouldn't drive a bailee brand if it was free.

2006 Hyundai Sonata V6..  the name might be Korean, but it was built in their Huntsville, Alabama plant, so i still consider it an "America Made" car... The wife drive a 2007 Hyundai Tucson V6..  (not sure if that was built in the US though)..  After our last 2 cars literally fell apart on us and we spent thousands getting them fixed (Chevy Cavalier and Ford Escort ZX2), we figured it was time to try something without an American name.. couldnt be happier with it so far..

'10 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track 6MT (Daily Driver)

'06 Mazda 3s 5MT (No longer driven, just waiting to clean it up to sell it)

'01 GMC Sierra C3 (New to me, winter beater and Home Depot hauler)

'08 Nissan Altima 2.5SL (Wife's, current family car)

We plan to add probably a midsize SUV to the mix as the family-mobile now that we have a kid.

A 20 something year old F150. So far, it hasn't needed to be bailed out by the government and the floor mats haven't killed me.

Also my truck isn't in communist metric for the most part.

I drive two cars that were made in America. America, as in the USA and not Canada or Mexico.

A 2004 Honda Accord and a 2013 Toyota Sienna.

When the Accord dies I'll likely replace it with a used pickup truck but I may get a pickup truck anyway even if the Accord is still alive. It has almost 220k miles on it and still going strong.
