who has the Keltec KSG in the north NJ area? if avail, I would like to check it out before I drop $1k on a new one.

any thoughts?  pros/cons?  have u added accessories?

Not sure if you have but I'd def shoot one before you spend that kinda money. It shoots much different than it looks IMO.

Cons:

The recoil seemed a bit harsh, but I shot it at the range a day after shooting trap, so my shoulder was already sore.....

Too expensive to use for HD/SD

 

No accessories on it.

BLF, what is your opinion on recoil compared to a standard pump?

I shot BLF's.

 

Recoil is a bit harsher than a normal pump as it's a mostly plastic gun and relatively light.

 

It's easy to short-stroke the KSG if you're not careful.

 

Also - if you're a big person or have long arms, it may not be comfortable at all.

I realized after I posted this someone might ask. I wasn't interested in purchasing one right now, so I didn't ask. I looked on their website and saw 5 prices from $822 to $1349, but they all said out of stock.

 

They're closed now. I'll call tomorrow and ask and post back.
