lunker 274 Posted June 18, 2013 I have always had bad luck with REM Golden bullets. They don't cycle well in my semi-autos (marlin 60 & m&p15-22).
mpmike 0 Posted June 18, 2013 i've always had bad luck with rem 22's also. i just gave a box away because every other round was a misfire. i thought it was the rifle until i picked up a box of federal. haven't had a misfire since. the guy i gave them to was using a bolt action, so i figured they'd work for him, and he was even having trouble with them. i saw a bucket of 1400 rounds of .22 for $75 the other day. i wanted to buy it so bad, but i kept reminding myself what happened before. Wastegate 9 Posted June 18, 2013 I have always had bad luck with REM Golden bullets. They don't cycle well in my semi-autos (marlin 60 & m&p15-22). Horrible luck with them. I wouldn't take them if they were free. Ruger 10/22's
jrfly3006 42 Posted June 18, 2013 Its amazing the different experience people have with em..fired 150 goldens last week at CJ.. Not a single problem except dirty fingers loading them.. 10/
ogfarmer 138 Posted June 18, 2013 The new improved ones run flawlessly
JustJoe 0 Posted June 18, 2013 I've always shyed away from them because of the reviews. A month or two ago ago I ran a brick through a ruger 10/22 and a walther p22 (notoriously finicky) and only had a ftf on the 10/22. Made a convert out of me. Frank Rizzo 59 Posted June 18, 2013 I tried the old stuff last year, wouldnt even load in my bolt rifle.. complete absolute garbage. The new Golden Bullet on the other hand runs flawless in ALL my .22 firearms. Its good stuff so far, I recommend it.
hiker88 22 Posted June 18, 2013 I never liked the "old" remington GB's. After a hundred rounds, they leave a gritty residue on the action on my guns. However, with the shortage of 22lr ammo, I wouldn't mind grabbing a box or two. When did the "new" Golden Bullet 22lr ammo come out?
mpmike 0 Posted June 19, 2013 Damn where did you see that bucket? targetmaster on route 202 in PA. i was there last week and they had bulk 9mm, 40, 45, 22, 556 and probably even more. i picked up 1000 rounds of .40 for $380.
skruft 1 Posted June 20, 2013 I never had any problem with the golden bullets. There was nothing special about them but they were cheap and I had no misfires in various guns.
