Suggestions for smith to build an AK74

Recommended Posts

I have plenty of tools, but I do not have the dexterity or patience to do this myself. i'm looking at buying a Bulgarian plum parts kit, and a US barrel & receiver. Can anybody suggest where I can have the work done?

Is there anything else I would need to buy?

Is Paterson Gunsmithing G&S Hunters? I can't find information on the net. If it is G&S Hunters, they do modifications on rifles to make them NJ legal. I can get a cool AK variant and have them modify it for a reasonable price.

It may be better idea than building it in NJ.

I don't know all the details, but think there is something prohibiting firearms manufacturing in NJ - not sure what exactly is considered manufacturing.

If you buy a receiver, its not considered manufacturing. Its the same as buying an AR lower and assembling it.
