Mosin Muzzle Brake?

Any thoughts? Anyone here have one? is it considered a flash hider? and does that even matter on a bolt action gun with no pistol grip or detachable magazine? 

 

Im really enjoying shooting my Mosin but a little lightening up of the kick would be helpful to my shoulder ;-)

I WOULD NOT BUY THAT. Seriously if it doesn't actually thread on IT WILL BLOW OFF THE FRONT AND TAKE YOUR FRONT SIGHT WITH IT!

 

Side note you can have flash hiders on bolt actions

I saw this guy on Youtube who has developed a muzzlebrake that uses the bayonet mount.  Looks interesting:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9USZUGQ4f60

 

There is also some guy in Australia that developed one but it's like $200.00.  On a Mosin, I don't think I'd bolt anything on to the barrel.

Im not gonna lie............I like the $50 price tag. Its not worth all that much more to me then that. I guess Ill look at a better buttpad or maybe a super fancy rolled up towel ;-)

Hell, if you're really kinky on getting a brake or flash hider on a mosin, you can thread the barrel your self and get something cool.

I think a real muzzle brake on a Mosin would be cool, only because of the blast and noise it will send to the people shooting next to you! The kick is why I shoot them, don't really want to take any of that away.

This is on my list of things to eventually do. There's a video of a Guy on YouTube that threads a mosin barrel and throws a 7.62 ak74 style flash hider on it. Looks really cool.

My M44 has a brake on it.  Bolt on.  Directs everything to the sides.  Huge tongues of flames out to the sides.

Although, I would see if there is an alternative break, because removing and grinding the front site and base is a bit over kill.

Cool, now I can stick one on a rifle I bought from a member on here that cut the barrel shorter and removed the front sight!
