Donobieus 15 Posted August 11, 2013 So i went to Shore Shot with my buddy today to try out his new Hi Point .40 carbine. I have to say, that thing is a blast to shoot! Almost no recoil, quiet, and dead on accurate once we got it zeroed in. We put around 400 rounds through it. But we had a lot of problems with the first round in the mag failing to feed properly. It almost seemed like the spring in the mag wasnt pushing the round up high enough to get pushed in correctly. Happened almost everytime. Anyone else ever had the problem or heard of it? Also, even tho it was a lot of fun to shoot, i hate that the charging handle is on the left side. Very uncomfortable. And the mag release isnt in the right spot. henrym 19 Posted August 11, 2013 Could be a weak mag spring not being able to overcome the weight of the bullet stack quickly enough.
thegerb50 0 Posted August 12, 2013 I had this problem and found that sometimes although locked in the mag was not always seated properly. Now whenever I put in the mag I insert it with a bit of force and then give it a good tap to make sure it is in all the way and my problems stopped
