Ok let's start the same discussion again. Searching for a convicted felon. I am sure he is not a good person and has a long history. You take precautions. Why do people think this costs so much. All these cops are already working.....it's not like they all came in on overtime to do this. You use available resources. Again....this can be used as a training exercise. Whenever you go out you learn and gain experience from working with your team. That's invaluable. You guys say it all the time police need more training. Well what's better than real life. Make up your minds

This is a nonviolent crime. A knock and no answer and not seeing anyone home at a house they "heard" he was "staying" at isnt a reason to set up a perimeter, call in swat, roll the tank in and damage property. They could have just sat 2 plain cloths cops in the area. The guy turned himself in when he heard what was going on. They'd be fixing my door.

Failure to appear is a reason to send in swat? Im not surprised ,total police state.Federal ,state and local government proves time and time again they have no problem wasting tax payer money.

I dont know how every dept works. We have esu teams working straight time every tour of every day. Usually guys are at at work ready to respond. Not at home then get called in unless more help is needed.

I know Woodbury has officers trained with m4's, hk mp's and sniper rifles on each shift. But they called in the swat team and rolled out the tank in addition to all that. For no visible sign of the person wanted and hear say that he was staying there.
