Shot a Desert Eagle 44 today

Was at Woodland Park and my GF wanted to try a Kimber, so rented one and got some 45.

 

Little bastard kicked, but ws really accurate.

 

Since she was playing around with that, I figured I would play too and rented the Desert Eagle.

 

HOLY CRAP was that fun.

 

The first shot had me giggling like a kid.

 

I noticed I really needed to lock out my arms or there would be feeding issues.

 

Overall, it was fun.  After 44 rounds, I was done, though.  (Kate shot 1 round, gotta admire her balls, and one of the ROs shot 5)

 

It was an absolute hoot, however.

 

I actually managed to shoot fairly accurately with it.

 

The hysterical part was going from that back to my 9MMs.  The gun and recoil felt toy like after blasting away with the hand cannon.

What did that cost? Sounds fun. Would you buy one?

I also have a DE 44mag.  It's a great gun.

 

You have to hold it firmly, and also not push on the magazine from the bottom, and then it feeds perfectly.  It was a little rough at first, but after a few hundred rounds it feeds perfectliy now.

 

I paid around MSRP, which is around $1200, and got it through Bullseye Tactical.

Rental was free, I have a higher level membership.

 

Ammo was $50.

 

No, I would not buy one, at least not until I picked up about 30other pistols I would rather have.  It was an absolute hoot, however.

Should try the .50ae for the DE. I love mine. And your right. After firing my DE and going back to 9mm is like comical
