pjd832 146 Posted September 27, 2013 Well ....as always in nj any steps made are always backwards...not surprised
fumanchu182 23 Posted September 27, 2013 My educated guess would be that the same people at NJSP NICS Unit will get the info and do the check, which may take longer then normal. I bought a lower the other day check came back in 15 seconds over the phone. I don't mind the phone system.
JT Custom Guns 956 Posted September 27, 2013 As with any new technology there are bound to be bugs & glitches. I am sure the intent was to speed up the system, and not to slow it down. Be patient, and let's see how thing progress before throwing the whole system under the bus.

pjd832 146 Posted September 27, 2013 90 mins later in the day online.Still bs.....most shops aren't going to stand next to the comp hitting refresh on their email page....thereby essentially making it a 2 trip process ...... As with any new technology there are bound to be bugs & glitches. I am sure the intent was to speed up the system, and not to slow it down. Be patient, and let's see how thing progress before throwing the whole system under the bus. And for my customers - I will handle the NICS in advance so there is no wait when you come to p/u your weapon. Along with a little sarcasm, it's just another service we offer............. +1 for jack at tj's ...
anabolism 2 Posted September 28, 2013 Was it email or phone? Email. Sales associate said he emailed them directly and just had to wait for a reply saying i was good
PK90 3,570 Posted September 28, 2013 Please edit or delete the above as it implies that your NICS was done prior to you signing the 4473 which goes against ATF protocol. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk

pjd832 146 Posted September 28, 2013 Nothing gets emailed for the check. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2 I haven't had one done yet... But my understanding is the ffl logs onto some site...enters info clicks send and waits for the proceed/delayed/denied response to be emailed to them... Is my understanding incorrect? average joe 5 Posted September 28, 2013 You can bet it will be down more than up, just ask motor vehicle how well their system works....
NYMetsFan86 9 Posted October 4, 2013 Picked up my 809 and two lowers yesterday. I waited about 15 or 20 minutes tops after online submission about 6pm. Seemed to be efficient

I'm prety sure the only goal was to replace the 900 number for the least cost possible.
