blksheep 466 Posted September 19, 2013 Anyone wondering the service life of a barrel should check this out. I have a Daniel Defense and am strongly looking towards BCM for my next rifles... http://www.slip2000.com/blog/s-w-a-t-magazine-filthy-14/

Blake 50 Posted September 20, 2013 Good read. I would love to see a comparison of other similar quality brands under the same testing. A 30k torture test of BCM vs DD vs Noveske vs KAC vs LMT etc would be great.
blksheep 466 Posted September 20, 2013 Agreed.
intercooler 41 Posted September 20, 2013 I have a BCM almost exactly the same as that one (save NJ legal) it has NEVER missed a beat. You cannot go wrong with BCM products
Blake 50 Posted September 20, 2013 I have a BCM almost exactly the same as that one (save NJ legal) it has NEVER missed a beat. You cannot go wrong with BCM products I also have a BCM that has never had a malfunction, but I don't run my rifles very hard and always clean em afterwards. I might just stop doing that now lol. Edit: couldn't resist the urge to pic whore my bcm/pws build lol. It's a factory 14.5" BCM upper w/ PWS brake on a PWS Mod 1 factory lower w/ Geisselle SSA trigger and VLTOR IMOD stock. Everything is NJ legal of course. Brake and stock are pinned, mag is blocked to 15rds.
High Exposure 5,635 Posted September 20, 2013 I shot Filthy 14 at an EAG class. I think Pat took it out of service for a T&E or student use rifle and sent it back to Paul at BCM. Last round count I heard was just shy of 44,000.
checko 180 Posted September 20, 2013 This article is the reason o don't clean my weapons to a shine every night anymore lol
Lalo 13 Posted September 20, 2013 I'd be curious to see what the inside of the upper/BCG/chamber look like after all these rounds. Probably something worse than this. This one is supposedly after 15,000 of Wolf ammo lubed after every 1000 rounds.
Holeshot 3 Posted September 20, 2013 Anyone wondering the service life of a barrel should check this out. I have a Daniel Defense and am strongly looking towards BCM for my next rifles... http://www.slip2000.com/blog/s-w-a-t-magazine-filthy-14/ That DD is top notch as well blksheep! The thing that got me hooked on BCM wasn't just filthy 14 though. Paul at BCM is held in high regard by the top instructors and industry insiders and that spoke volumes to me. I doubt I will ever meet Paul and he will probably never know who I am but I try to support him and his company as much as my budget allows.
