Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted October 12, 2013 Hey was wondering what the legality of constructing an Uzi carbine from a us made receiver and a parts kit and us made barrel? Currently thinking of doing an ak in that fashion and came across Uzi receivers. Thanks in advance. Sam

Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted October 12, 2013 What if the receiver is not marked Uzi such as ar 15 which go by other names? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted October 12, 2013 Proceed at your own risk. I think it's too much risk. Haven't heard of this done yet don't want to be the first to try lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
ryan_j 0 Posted October 12, 2013 If it's not named Uzi it should be fine. But you never know.
kman 56 Posted October 12, 2013 Are you nuts? What NJ cop or judge is going to give you slack over an Uzi? Plus don't real Uzis shoot from an open bolt? ATF classifies those as as a machine gun whether or not they fire one or more shots per trigger pull. Needs a full redesign for closed bolt operation. A parts kit bolt will not work if you want to build one that fires from a closed bolt. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

kman 56 Posted October 12, 2013 If there is a US version you won't find it as a parts kit. Parts kits are foreign guns that are minus the receiver or with a torch cut receiver because the receiver can't be imported. No reason to torch a US made Uzi into a parts kit - it would be a waste. Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted October 12, 2013 I'm saying as an alternative to the parts kit route if anyone new the details and legality of the us made clone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
