Talked to Steve about a first rifle for my son, helped me pick one out in about 20min, 2 days later it was delivered and ready to be picked up. And to top it all off, if you go to his place to pick up a firearm around the time of gesf's bday, you'll be awarded with not only your purchase, but ice cream bday cake(with chocolate crunchies AND fudge in the middle) and pink bday hats for all! Just sayin...

I wanted to teach him with a bolt action but I also wanted mag feed...Went with the Savage Mark II FV Package .22 

 

I have a Savage bolt .308 so kind of kept with the savage theme...plus it has the AccuTrigger...good stuff
