List of NJ-friendly and NJ-unfriendly online firearm retailers

Remember, don't sign the 4473 or COE/P2P until you are satisfied on the condition. Once signed, you own it.
Why? Once you pay for it and walk out the door, you own it. Prior to that, the NJ FFL owns it.

...It took 5 days for my e-check to clear even though the funds were taken out of my bank in three days...
How did you do an eCheck with Buds?

On checkout, you are offered a few options.  For the cash price, there is check (which I guess is mailed) and then there was an e-check.  You do the standard: routing number and account number.

Haha. I had NICS eCheck on my mind.

The 4 companies I deal with on the regular are:

1) Aimsurplus - Never had a problem with them

2) Kentucky Gun Company works with you

3) AmmoSupplyWarehouse never had an issue sending me whatever I wanted or how much I wanted

4) Sarco - Just because

Aimsurplus will not ship any AR lowers or parts to NJ, most all pistols and rifles (except ARs) are good to go.

Kentucky Gun Company is easy to deal with and they do go above and beyond to help NJ residents.

Sarco will ship to NJ no problem.

I ordered a Savage Mark II FVSR from Budd's and had no problems aside from a couple days shipping delay. I was happy with the purchase because I couldn't find them anywhere locally or in
PA. I have had nothing but good experiences from AIM. Widener's has been good to me for ammo, also.

Paul, if it's a lemon or in poor/not as described condition you can send it back without wasting the P2P...most companies will accept returns (minus restocking fee).

I've purchased guns from both Ky Gun Co and Bud's with no issues. But neither were for nj restricted weapons. I did have an issue with SWVA arms though. I purchased 2 boxes of .35 rem for a hog hunt, and they canceled it. Even though their policy says they ship ammo too NJ with a copy if your FID. When I got the cancelation notice, and called them, they said it was new policy, but hasn't updated the website. I even offered to have it shipped to a free state, but by that time, they were out of stock. I checked later, and it took them 3 additional months to update their website. I don't blame companies for not wanting to deal with NJ laws, but at least don't specifically say you will sell ammo, and then reneg. I built my AR from parts myself, but if i was going to purchase a complete rifle, or anything restricted in NJ, there's many other companies I would use.

I cant blame vendors for not wanting to risk dealing with NJ, they need to CYA to keep their business running and away from risk. It will also inspire the residents to stand up and try to get the laws changed, or at least it should. Or, like in my case, inspire people to leave the state for a free state.

Specifically on the 15-round limit, I don't quite get Bud's position on that - they won't even remove the 17-round mags (the illegal part) and sell you a legal gun or swap a 17 for a 15 (if one exists). Many manufacturers don't do what Beretta does (sell a 10-round, least-common-denomenator mag-equipped gun under a separate SKU). Besides, it's not illegal for the receiving FFL to have an over-the-limit mag, right? If you've got an FFL that'll receive and modify a mag for sale to a non-LEO, what's the problem?  Yeah, I get it, Bud's can make their own policy and they probably aren't losing sleep over a blanket policy that loses them some business in little ol' NJ.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
    • PX4 Full Size 9mm Type G.
