Grapeshot 301 Posted November 26, 2013 I've got a Mossberg 500 12 ga pump that I would like to use for sporting clays. I'm thinking that 100 rounds through it may be a bit much for my shoulder, so a slip-on recoil pad is probably in order. There seem to be quite a few choices - anyone have a recommendation? What should I steer clear of? Thanks!

Malsua 1,422 Posted November 26, 2013 Just buy a Limb saver. Get the screw on model for your shotgun, it looks a lot nicer than the slip on.
siderman 1,131 Posted November 26, 2013 Limbsaver. Just keep in mind your lop will change slightly.
djg0770 481 Posted November 26, 2013 Limbsaver. Not because I'm a joiner but because it works and works well.
Malice4you 627 Posted November 26, 2013 I like the limbsaver option as well, threw one on the Mosin to help tame the metal/wood stock digging directly into my shoulder, and what a world of difference it made. Only downside is it does change LOP a bit. I do agree that the slip on ones look bad, so if there is one that replaces the stock rubber pad, I'd go for that if possible.
