dman2112 6 Posted December 4, 2013 I must say the RO's at RTSP are such a great group. Always helpful and safe. They treat you like a valued customer rather some scary dude with a gun like most shops do. I also like to see when a novice is in need of assistance they come over an offer advice. Good job. RTSP1 67 Posted December 5, 2013 Dman we truly appreciate the time you look to post. Range safety and education is a very important part of our business model. It has been an up hill battle to get the range rolling, but our employees are truly the front line of our customer reaction and over all feeling of what RTSP trully represents. Please come find me the next time you are in, I would enjoy meeting you.
SgtToadette 59 Posted December 5, 2013 RTSP is a bit out of the way for me. But on the occasion that I went about a year and a half ago, I also had a very pleasant exchange with the RO. Great guy. I wish I remembered his name.
brucin 918 Posted December 5, 2013 I'm there often and and the RSO's are very friendly and helpful. It makes for a great shooting experience.
beachwhistle 28 Posted December 5, 2013 Mark, the RO on my first visit, was a huge help to me when I got my first pistol. In spite of the place being packed he took the time to pretty much give me a free lesson and kept an eye on me as I learned.

I am not on the forum too often but I'd like to second this. I went to RTSP for the first time a little over a week ago and wrote a pretty long review on yelp, partially on this same topic. I just got a really great vibe from the entire staff. got a "how's it going man?" as I walked in and talked to two of the RO's who were both friendly, helpful, and 'normal folks' as I often use the term. They were also never standing still, altering time between doing the normal RO stuff AND sweeping shells away from shooters feet. The guys, and gal, working the retail area were quick to offer to show me stuff and I felt welcomed. What a great place - really wish I lived closer. I'd be a member if I did. RTSP1 67 Posted December 14, 2013 Dev8edd, thanks for checking in on this. I try to follow the posts as best I can and report the good as well as the not so good to all of my employees. They will get a well deserved pat on the back tomorrow.

tblant 6 Posted December 27, 2013 I was there tonight with my nephew. The entire staff is solid...friendly and helpful. This is the first time there since the expansion and I was blown away.
Mach16lt 0 Posted December 27, 2013 Have to chime in as well... the ROs at RTSP were stellar every time I've been there.
Will K 0 Posted January 7, 2014 Just went there yesterday with my brand new Hi-Point carbine and had some jamming troubles. One of the RO's hooked my up by spraying things down with some lubricant. Loosened the new toy right up, so I let him take some shots since he was admiring it. Good guys there!
Will K 0 Posted January 7, 2014 Howard, my carbine is 40 cal. RTSP considers it a rifle for range use. At $280, it's not the best out there, but it's fun as all get out. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
bcarlos 1 Posted January 13, 2014 Add another +1 for positive feedback about rtsp's ros. Very helpful and have never talked down to me about any question I had for them.
chris327 30 Posted February 18, 2014 can anyone give me some advice on when its not crowded on weekends here? Planning on going this weekend not sure if Saturday afternoon after 3pm, Sunday morning, or Sunday afternoon is best. ive never been here but just let my Cherry ridge membership expire and dont plan on going back there. Maybe EFGA in the spring. But for more local shooting im thinking rtsp would be nice. Can only go those times mentioned so any info would be appreciated when to avoid the crowds. 67gtonut 847 Posted February 18, 2014 On weekends it is active all throughout the day..... it comes and goes in waves. There really is no way to predict it.
chris327 30 Posted February 18, 2014 is there normally a line or wait or even though busy you can walk in and shoot? just want to be prepared if there's going to be an hr wait to shoot.
67gtonut 847 Posted February 18, 2014 There will be a line...... and some sort of wait. First time there, there will be some paperwork to fill out, sit thru a 10min safety video..... and then depending on luck.... 10min to as much as 90min wait for a lane..... chris327 30 Posted February 18, 2014 ok thanks for the info.
Howard 538 Posted February 18, 2014 If you want to save a little time you can printout the paperwork and fill it out at home. Its available here: http://rtsponline.com/wp-content/uploads/RTSP-Range-Forms-8-26-12.pdf
chris327 30 Posted February 18, 2014 thanks Howard, got the papers already done from the website. dont care if theres a wait, just want to know if i should expect one or if there was any times that normally are not a long wait. But ill just hope for the best. I assume you can wait in the store area? unlike when i used to go to bullet hole and you waited around the table behind the firing ports. chris327 30 Posted February 18, 2014 yea its a good tactic on their part because chances are ill end up seeing something I want and buying something while im there. if i had a permit in hand id probably get my hands on a fnx 45.
Howard 538 Posted February 18, 2014 With 21 ports the wait should not be too bad. You might even have no wait if you want to use the simulator while you wait for a port. If you never tried that it is worth a try, you might get hooked too.
AverageJoe 95 Posted February 18, 2014 From what I've seen every w/e...the best time to go(if you're a non member) is at 10am. Its members only from 8-10, then open to all at 10 and usually a slight(very slight) lull from 10-11 then it picks up from there. Like stated if theres a wait, there is a lot to check out to keep ya busy...lotta guns and accessories...ask for a tour, check out the 2 story shoot house, simulator room, dojo, classrooms, cafe.
