Blacksmythe 71 Posted December 24, 2013 Thoughts on NIB-X coated firearms. Picked this one up new in box from a store today. Glock 21 Gen 3. I will let you know how I like it once I have a chance to shoot it.

raz-0 1,259 Posted December 25, 2013 My concern would be the same as for np3 coated slides. Namely too slippery with sweaty hands or with anything remotely lubricious on your hands. Although I would expect it to not be quite as bad as np3.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted December 25, 2013 I thought so too! I don't see a lot of these around... So not a lot of data.
AlexTheSane 236 Posted December 25, 2013 I've only had my NIB-X Glock 23 for a few months but I love it. Haven't had any problems with it. This is my first Glock so I don't know if it's a problem with the NIB-X or all Glocks, but I can't seem to put a fully loaded magazine in with the slide closed. In all the glocks I've owned...full new mags are VERY hard to insert on closed slide...but as they break in...it is easier..but still required a firm push until it clicks...I will fully load at the range...but download carry/hd mags

This is my first Glock so I don't know if it's a problem with the NIB-X or all Glocks, but I can't seem to put a fully loaded magazine in with the slide closed. Every block I have had did that..... I just shot it a lot and stored the mags loaded and it took care of its self. This one loads just fine can't wait to get it on the range.
