I have one...they are the finest made ak variants available. Heavy 2 mm receiver and heavy barrels, they are made right! If you restock them make sure to be 922r compliant

.PLUS there is case law in NJ that assures them to be legal...

I have one, and couldn't be happier.  I haven't had a single problem with it.  I didn't like the thumbhole stock that it came with, so I got a replacement stock set (with handguards) from ironwood designs (I went for the black walnut).  To make sure I was 922r compliant, I swapped out the trigger & hammer for the Tapco G2 set.  If you can pick up a MAK 90, you'll be very happy

I like mine... One down side is the Slant receiver. It really limits the what stocks you can put one. There are only a few companies that make the slant stocks. Unfortunately I am still stuck with the thumb hole original it came with.

 

If anyone know a good source for slant stocks I would appreciate it. I would love to update it to the black rifle tacicool look. Rails m4 style stock ( pinned), ect.

My friend has a mak90. loves it. If your looking for a thumbhole stock ak that is easier to upgrade the stock and is just as good if not better, check out the hungarian sa85m. LOVE MINE!
