prices dont seem anything all that special to me.  in fact, they are higher than a lot of places...  cool that its "vet made", but otherwise, not really a great bargain..  unless you guys are looking at different calibers than i am...

  

After doing some more research you are correct.

 

 

Better than $ 0.33 a round for 45? There is better?

Everybody was an "unknown source" at one point.

I just bought 500 from freedom munitions but there were at least a few guys around here that said they were reputable. Went through 100 with one fail to feed but I saw that it the bullet was set a little deep so I expected it. We will see what the other 400 has to offer. Nice and clean too. Cleaner than Winchester white box. When I need more I may be the guinea pig and try this new source. That may be in a few months.

I have gone through thousands of rounds of Freedom Munitions ammo and have only had two issues ever.  I one case I had one round where the bullet was depressed too far.  I contacted them and they promptly sent me a replacement box of 50 rounds for free.  On another occasion I had a few light strikes from two boxes of ammo.  They failed to go bank in single action in my CZ but when I shot them double action they worked fine.  I brought that to their attention and they sent me three boxes of 50 rounds each to make up for it.  That is what I call great support and service.  Other companies have done squat when I or people I know have reported problems.

I add another +1 to Freedom.  However, its not a negative, but I think Freedom Munitions loads their rounds a little hot.  I have a bunch of 9mm from them and I get a hell of a muzzle flash when I shoot.  Other than that they are great and I haven't had any issues.

Honestly I will probably buy from freedom ammo again but I didn't think it was clean. After about 100 rounds I had to lube the feed ramp on my .45 - both times I've shot their ammo. I've shot Lawman and Winchester and have not experienced that. But it's cheap so I can deal with a F2F or two to save some money. It's just my range ammo. I shoot a box of the good stuff just to practice with it but I don't notice any difference in accuracy inside 15 yards.

 

Edit: I've still got 150 rounds left from my original 500 from freedom ammo. Next time I go to the range I'll see if it happens a 3rd time.

      ALWAYS CHECK "THEIR" WORK!!!  The last one we had been subject to was a total hack job.  We fought it and got it corrected.  We weren't happy with the increase, but it could have been worse.

      Think so? Check your property card. My mother's house hadn't changed since it was built in 1952. But back in the 2oth century when the property taxes were skyrocketing, I went to look at the property card in the assessors office. Among other nonexistent features I found on it was a finished basement and two extra baths. Even better, the office manager tried to tell me that the arithmetic on the card (based on the features listed) that resulted perfectly in the property tax total, had NOTHING TO DO with the tax levied. The last assessment they did on our current home was all wrong. Fortunately I had the blueprints for the house and corrected all the mistakes in the assessor's measurements.
