10k reward on bank robber

Recommended Posts

I agree bank executives are some of the worst criminals - but the teller who gets a gun shoved in his or her face is not making a six figure bonus and did not cause the financial crisis.

This isn't "sticking it" to anyone. It's just the poor robbing the slightly-less poor.

I hope he gets away with it, he's a hero.

Friggin' Wall Street and their banks rob us all every day, so why not return the favor?

Hahahah.  :sarcastichand:

And the battering ram at your door in 3, 2, 1…

Did he hurt anyone?  If not, its a victimless crime.

Banks literally print money.

Well they borrow it from the "Fed" which prints it or they take a deposit and lend it out x 9 via fractional reserve banking.

Plus theyre insured!

Whats a good analogy, it would be like someone stealing air.

The teller doesn't get hurt, nor is it her money on the line.  Shit, don't even need to show a gun, just tell them to give you the money, their procedure basically makes them hand it over to you.

Bingo!  The real trick is to rob ATMs, they don't call the cops. :p

Actually risk to reward is whoever gets stuck doing deposits for retail locations. A former girlfriend of mine was an assistant manager of a decently busy mall store. Depending on the time of year the bag had between $7500 and $52000. No FBI involved, no security to speak of. Just the unlucky schmuck walking to their car, driving to the bank, and car to bank. Especially in nj, most you wind up with is someone following them to the deposit.

Bank robbery is too high profile. Attention seekers. Rob drug dealers instead. They won't call the cops

They rob banks all the time around here. Any other shop and you might get shot by employees.

There are no laws against carrying guns in banks. I have open carried in 3 different banks for 5 years. But it is well known that no banks allow their employees to carry.

Yes, I know the robberies don't happen like that scene in the movie Heat - my point is, the money is insured by the FDIC or some other kind of insurance, depending on what is stolen. It doesn't hurt the bottom line at all. Banks charge us premiums to cover operating costs, which includes insurance.

This one hit very close to home for me, I used to do this escort from the BX at least twice a month. The bank drop box was 15 yards from the Police Desk on a secure Air Base. The piece of sh$t that masterminded was on my flight at Andersen Air Force Base. Him and his brother attempted to grab the bag from the clerk, Levay intervened and one pointed a rifle at him. He struggled with the one with the rifle and was hit over the back of the head with a blunt object by the other. Even though the intention might have been to just get cash...things went sideways and a good man was killed.

Unbelievable though it may seem, I've seen both that and (more than once) buyer gets robbed, calls police, gets charged along with dealer.

Idiots gonna idiot.
