BlueLineFish 615 Posted April 14, 2014 Well looks like all this new stuff is coming out as a big FU to ban states. Interesting concept.

Bully 749 Posted April 14, 2014 Too bad it's a Troy product... Neat concept, tho. Now, if they would ditch the pistol grip but keep the AR mag compatibility, I'd be down. .308 would be nice as well. C
The_Matrix 105 Posted April 14, 2014 At least, it does look cool.
Polak 3 Posted April 14, 2014 pretty cool. If it's pump, that means you can have all the "evil" features you want, correct?

Absent Anima 0 Posted April 15, 2014 I don't totally hate it. Now would this allow possession of 30rd at magazines since it would not technically be a semi auto rifle?
NotJust22s 10 Posted April 15, 2014 Kool, an evil pump.
Old Glock guy 1,125 Posted April 15, 2014 Nice idea! How long do you think it will take for our legislature to get around to banning them?

Negative, the 15 round capacity limit in New Jersey is not limited to an Evil Feature of "assault rifles..." but is a state law governing capacity in any firearm. Oakridgefirearms 224 Posted April 15, 2014 Negative, the 15 round capacity limit in New Jersey is not limited to an Evil Feature of "assault rifles..." but is a state law governing capacity in any firearm. The 15 round mag limit only applies to semiautos and mags that fit into semiautos. The mags for this gun would need to be compliant because they also fit semiautos. Non semiautos are not limited in capacity.
PK90 3,569 Posted April 15, 2014 There is a way to have 100, 40, 30, 20 round detachable mags for this rifle. Sent from an undisclosed location.
alec.mc 180 Posted April 15, 2014 There is a way to have 100, 40, 30, 20 round detachable mags for this rifle. :DSent from an undisclosed location. yeh. I guess they would need to be proprietary to that rifle only. Then you can have whatever mag limit

anactivegrenade 25 Posted April 15, 2014 Negative, the 15 round capacity limit in New Jersey is not limited to an Evil Feature of "assault rifles..." but is a state law governing capacity in any firearm. Actually, the 15-round limit is for semi-automatics, or for magazines that are used or can be used for semi-automatics. Because this AR uses standard AR mags, we're stuck wt 15-rounders. If they made magazines that only worked with this gun, then we're talkin'!!!!

Smoke Eater 0 Posted April 15, 2014 They can easily just make the lower fatter or skinnier at the the take down pins.. so u cant us a sgandard lower and make the mags a special type.. maybe fatter or wider
7-3-2 9 Posted April 15, 2014 I like this idea and I can't help but wonder if this would bridge the gap between AR and hunting rifle?
bhunted 887 Posted April 15, 2014 Kewl idea, but not sure I'd want to bend because of these dumb laws. Too many people bend and we lose power to push back because people will become complacent again. Sent from my iPad 2 using T2 Pro

Not sure what you point is but keep in mind the early model Marlin Glenfield Model 60 with tube magazines are assault weapons in NJ
pbkid6974 1 Posted April 16, 2014 just get 15 round .458 mags and an upper... they hold 30 rounds of 5.56...
leadunderpressure 52 Posted April 16, 2014 The Marlin model 60 is semiauto. That's not a counterexample. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
PDM 91 Posted April 17, 2014 You do realize that NJ can easily amend the AWB to encompass pump action as well as semi-auto. I have no doubt they would try that if these guns became popular.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted April 17, 2014 Delete this thread..nothing to see here...pump action what?
Kadayo 39 Posted April 17, 2014 I actually like the concept. A folding stock is especially good for me. I have a short safe and have to store my AR disassembled. This would fit right in there and be ready to go.
Kadayo 39 Posted May 13, 2014 Yes. A little cut here, a little weld there. Voila Sent from an undisclosed location. Do you think a pmag could be modified to only fit in this rifle or would it have to be a metal magazine? This idea intrigues me.
