immediately lol where have you been the last 5 years, there is nothing more they can do in NJ, all that's left is they can dump all their money into NJ elections next time around, and even if they dump 500 million dollars into republican candidates in NJ there is about a 10% chance they'll take control of the house and senate, they know this to be true and after today im more than positive SAF will give up on us just like the NRA has

ill agree at this point nj is a lost cause.  but the SAF has been doing a ton of stuff nationally.

I know you guys don't want to think this - but it would have been worse if they had taken this case and then upheld the idiotic Justifiable Need (neeeeeeahd even) statute.

This just gives me one more straw on the camel to move out of NJ.

I had the same thought. Realistically, I think we're done for my lifetime, but I have young kids. Despite all the amnesty panic, here's no telling what the country will look like in 40 years. The Italians and Irish used to be reliable Democrat votes until they became assimilated. I see no reason why the same may not happen with Latinos. Culturally, I think the average illegal is a natural republican. Better to leave the issue unsettled and while we go back to our lair and lick our wounds for a fee decades.

Judiciary systems in some so-called third world countries are far better than here at home. The simple fact that tools necessary to defend self needs someone's permission and justifiable need is mind boggling.  There is a not a single most important issue than defense of self (verbal, legal and physical) that applies across gender, color, sexual orientation and economical status.  The fact that SC denied hearing of such an important and broad aspect of individual freedom is just shameful.

In NJ, Animals have more rights to self defense than People. Real shame.

Win, or Lose,  individual rights are ALWAYS under attack. We all may be feeling "down" today but cannot give up on making continued efforts to getting our rights back.

The Cubans were reliable republican voters.... There children are not.

I am sad. I had hope our justice system was not as completely flawed as the rest of our political machine. I could not be more wrong.

They are the ones that unchained the political machine. They are the ones to blame for all of our problems. And it was a deliberate plan hatched by Progressives and Socialists at Harvard Law School during the first half of the 20th Century.

Im so sad I am finding it hard to work.  I know nothing changes, I was unable to carry yesterday, I am unable to carry today.  Having my last hope dashed just hurts.

I can only hope that I am able to find a job in another state.

So next would be "assault dogs". Expect any "assault dog" greater than 50lbs 'capacity', to be restricted to shitting only in your home. "Justifiable Need" required to get a permit to walk your dog outside.

Anyone who thinks this is ridiculous, is a First Class Fool.

Given enough time...and now PRECEDENT. We now know where KNOW how and where the SHIT will FLY.

'bear' is pretty understandable in the definition and in the constitution.  How they vote on this is beyond me.  We run the gov't, not the other way around.  Is it time to start bringing up replacing justices through congressional action?

How can the Supreme Court be such cowards, as to let the faulty if not irrational 3rd Circuit Court precedent stand.  According to Gura's Brief, It basically said that if a law is enacted, its therefore Constitutional, if the Legislature is questioned you have to accept their position and that other Laws don't mean what they say.  Isn't this dangerous beyond the 2A and Carry debate?:

The constitution was dead before this case and America today is as good as it's ever going to be.  With Democrats buying votes from 50 million Americans through social programs and the almost guaranteed amnesty of millions more undocumented democrats, individual rights are a thing of the past.   There is no place to run and hide from this.  In my lifetime, NJ will become the standard for the rest of the states as we march on toward true communism.

We are not on the slippery slope any more.  America is dead.

My read is they didnt take the case because if they did the court's decision would not have been good for us. Means Justice Kennedy probably wouldn't sign on to a decent decision on bearing arms. Why would the conservative wing of the court take a case that they know they will lose? As for the liberal wing they don't want to take it because a decision eviscerating the right to bear arms would turn into a liability in the upcoming elections. This issue will not be decided conclusively until there are some new Supreme Court Justices appointed. Critical will be the next presidential election. In the next few years more good statistical data from new right to carry states will also become more and more helpful. Eventually perhaps we can hope that gun rights become a bipartisan issue and we are not held hostage to the red blue political dichotomy on this issue any more.

Deflated is not even close to a good description of how I feel today, because of this.  I've lost all faith in the system of our country.  I agree with others that this is just a slippery slope to all kinds of other unconstitutional rulings in the future.  We are slowly but surely losing freedom each day in our country.

All of you whining about how America is dead .. what are you going to do about it?

Stock items to hide in my bunker so that when the gravy train finally runs out and all the liberals starve to death I will be able to start over.

I used to be a pretty community oriented person, but I don't care any more. Eff my neighbors who support this foolishness.
