Charges dropped

I sincerely hope this is true. It seems a shame that he had to suffer arrest and extradition from PA for naught. Are there any grounds for suing for wrongful arrest?

Kaleda was arrested on a warrant. That means that the cops demonstrated sufficient probable cause in their affidavit as far as the judge was concerned. Unless you can prove the cops lied in the affidavit there is no recourse. You can't sue a judge.

Remixer is correct. There are many reasons charges may be dropped. Probable cause for an arrest can exist but not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt is another.

 

If charges were dropped, it certainly supports the the idea that the charges were political.
