I'm not sure if I would have followed him, but since the guy's wife might have been pulling into the parking lot at any minute, I don't blame him.

I think that ther are a few octo and nano genarians (for Shawn, that's 80 and 90-year-olds) cited either here, or in other sources that have had to use / show / deploy firearms to defend themselves. Just goes to show that violence and bad intentions know no limits.

Here we go, folks!  NJ resident shoots someone outside from inside through a glass door.  Time to see what will happens to him.

Complications to the case:

1.  The alleged shooter is a corrections officer (Lt.), who was off duty at the time of the shooting;

2.  He had a restraining order filed against him by a former girlfriend, who just happened to be in his house at the time of the shooting.

Discuss...

From what I read, the restraining order was against the guy who was shot, not against the shooter.  Complicated, but looks like the shooter is clean.

A 91-year-old man shot a robber who tried to rob him in the Detroit-area parking lot.

(CNN)The elderly man probably seemed like a good target, but a would-be robber flat out picked the wrong guy.

A 91-year-old man shot and wounded a man in his 20s who tried to rob him earlier this week in a pharmacy parking lot near Detroit.

The unidentified elderly man was getting out of his car when he noticed someone coming up to him, acting erratic. The older guy let the younger one know he was packing, telling him he had a license to conceal carry a gun.

CNN affiliate WXYZ reports the suspect pointed something at the older guy. But the nonagenarian wasn't waiting around to find out what. He pulled out his weapon and fired, hitting the suspect in the neck.

"This was an attempted robbery of the shooter. The person who fired the shots had a CPL [concealed pistol licence]," Eric Keiser, the deputy police chief in Eastpointe, Michigan, told WXYZ, "and was lawfully carrying a handgun and said that he defended himself when he was attacked."

The would-be robber ended up in the hospital ... and in police custody.

The home invasion and subsequent shooting happened around 4 a.m. on Sept. 16.

That's when police said that they responded to a home in the 3500 block of Spring Drive and learned from the homeowner was awakened to find men in her home.

She can be seen charging at the men and opening fire ultimately hitting and killing one. The deceased was later identified as 28-year-old Antonio Leeks.

However, the other two are still on the run.

Both men are described as black males who were about 6 feet tall.

One is said to have facial hair and was wearing a white baseball cap, dark pants and dark shoes with an unknown reflective symbol.

The other was described as having short black hair and facial hair. he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black athletic shoes.

Levittown pa. 2 robbers stopped by pizza shop patron

http://levittownnow.com/2016/11/15/police-respond-to-shooting-at-pizza-shop/

"Investigators were looking into the customer but his gun permit appeared to check out authorities said."

Almost feels like the reporter was disappointed that the customer was legally carrying....funny that there was no mention in the article of either bad guys' statuses within the confines of PA firearms law.
