magnawing 5 Posted July 24, 2014 Yes. It's a .45 Stoeger Cougar (same as the Beretta Cougar) This is my signature. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Vlad G 345 Posted July 24, 2014 Thanks Vlad I thought it was any single stack gun my mistake What, you want our rules to make sense? Whats wrong with you?
magnawing 5 Posted July 24, 2014 So.....why call it "Single stack" and not "1911 only"??? This signature is AWESOME!!!
Vlad G 345 Posted July 24, 2014 So.....why call it "Single stack" and not "1911 only"??? Because it would make sense, and we don't do that There is a bit of history here, there used to be a 1911 Society match that ran every year, which was sorta merged into USPSA at the same time as the new division was created, and if I'm not mis-remembering their match used to be called the Single Stack Classic (and I think it still is and doubles as the Single Stack nationals). The short answer is: "because". Ask us why the Metric target is only used in the US and the Classic target is one that was invented after the Metric and it is in no way classic. We just like brain twisters or something.

Steve_G 51 Posted July 26, 2014 Looking like a gametime decision for me on this one. A little rain is fine but thunderstorms and heavy rains might be a bit much.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted July 26, 2014 Normally I'd break your balls about that, but I too will be watching the weather. My son has a tournament in Toms River tomorrow, first pitch 12:00. Normally I'd be there coaching but the little shit asked me to stop coaching so now my Sunday's are free. Problem is that my wife isn't a big fan of driving long distances, and if there is a threat of heavy rain she's going to be on edge and making the bad noise about me not driving her to and from the game so she can watch her son play baseball. Argh.

Vlad G 345 Posted July 26, 2014 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. We call that shooting weather because the actual odds of a storm over the range it itself is pretty low.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted July 26, 2014 Aw jeez....Vlad is making weather predictions.
Howard 538 Posted July 26, 2014 So all stages will be strong hand only so you can hold an umbrella in your weak hand while shooting?

Every weather report I see says 80% chance -- Tonight will tell -- I have to say I spend my entire week outdoors -- Don't look forward to spending my day off outside in the rain... I'm seeing that it's not supposed to start until after 2pm, so we could get a few stages in.
Steve_G 51 Posted July 26, 2014 Looks like every station is giving a different forecast. Guess we'll see which one is right tomorrow. See you in the AM.
Vlad G 345 Posted July 26, 2014 weather.com says 30%accuweather says 60% in the afternoon weather underground says 50% randomly. I rather shoot then hide in the house.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted July 26, 2014 I don't mind shooting in bad weather...it's the scoring and taping targets that sucks.
Hops 0 Posted July 26, 2014 Shooting in the rain will always beat cleaning the basement at home. If everybody hustles we could wrap things up before the rain starts at 2pm.
jvheitz 5 Posted July 26, 2014 Sounds like grilling weather to me. Boy Scout Troop 35 will be there selling food and drinks.
silverc6 0 Posted July 26, 2014 The day I start making excuses of not shooting because there's a chance of rain is the day my gun is going for sale.

Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 27, 2014 I also think with the forecast for possible rain that might keep some people away that did sign up
