I have been in 12 and 14 team leagues. As much as I prefer the 12 team league, you'll be surprised that 14 isn't that bad. Just need to draft smart with your early picks. Or you know what, you should take your defenses and kickers real early.

Draft turn time has been changed from 90 seconds to 60 Seconds.  That'll help keep things moving faster.

And yet your team is saddled with a loss, while so many other lower-scoring teams get an undeserved win based on nothing more than an arbitrary schedule.
