Safety Glasses User Question

Recommended Posts

I occassionally have to use safety glasses for my job.  I find that they end up scratched beyond belief in such a short amount of time.  I am looking for a hard(er?) case than what I have found to date, something that can take and shrug off the occassional bang and bump.  Does anyone know of, or have personal experience with, a hard belt mounted case (molle would be awesome too) that will preserve the wraparound style of glasses that I prefer?  I have looked at Amazon and such and I have seen items resembling glorified socks as well as items similar to cheap camera cases - but nothing hard enough to throw in the bottom of a backpack.

Thanks!

I bought this at WalMart (I think) for my Oakley sunglasses, works great. It's pretty big so it should fit safety glasses. If you search for "sunglasses case" you'll prob have better results than "safety glasses case".

ESS makes great safety glass, expensive but do come with a MOLLE case.  I wear these for work in goggle and sunglass form.

You might be able to order just the case if you call them.  Their customer service is great for when I had to deal with them.

ETA: found a direct link still has the molle backing

I have these and they work really well. They are a hard plastic fabric covered case with a no scratch lining. They fit my safety glasses perfectly. It even has a molle strap on the back.

They also have a larger version

I went to Walmart yesterday and got a hard case similar to what BD104X posted.  They were in the eyeglass store at Walmart and even the Eye Tech didn't know they had the case I had picked out.  That purchase solves the "throwing them in my bag" problem.  I am still hunting for a good belt case- the items mentioned so far look very good.

Thanks everyone.
