Best concealed carry permit

Recommended Posts

While you are there, take the Texas Trainer's course, and bring back two big sacks of Texas soil :)

The only reason I'll be coming back to PRNJ is to get the rest of my stuff and my family and deliver them from the evil that is New Jersey.

How much does this cost? You guys go to pa that much?

I only live 28 miles from E Stroudsburg. I'm over there often almost every weekend to shop with the wifey. I've got family in Central PA we visit probably once a month. I do a lot of fishing there during the spring trout season as well, bunch of my buddies moved right over the bridge in Marshalls creek. We hang out a lot to kill some fish. I'll probably apply for the sportsman carry this year as well. Would just be nice to have the option to carry consealed over there again. I eventually plan on moving to Mt. Bethal within the next two years anyway. Been looking at buildable lots there lately. But if I'm going to visit my brother in Texas, I may as well take the class while I'm there.

Arizona permit also covers a bunch of good states. mine just came it. From the time I shipped my application packet out, to the time they shipped it back was 29 days (and there were a bunch of holidays in between)

according to USA Carry, PA honors New Hampshire Non res permits. Why go all the way to Texas to get non resident when you can get a NH non res permit?

We thought of that already, so did the PA attorney General. No more NH non resident for us.

My Florida permit just came in!

I also applied for Connecticut but they sent my application back. My NRA first steps pistol class wasn't enough of a training requirement. They want at least NRA basic pistol.

Basic pistol satisfies the live fire requirement.

    • I very seriously doubt this has anything to do with terrorism.    1) Harbor pilots are VERY seriously vetted, and highly trained. Not to mention extremely well paid. My experience knowing a few of them, and knowing how they are recruited and screened tells me that there is a slim to highly unlikely chance that a harbor pilot would have participated in anything like that.    2) Maintenance of foreign flag ships is well known to be dubious. Especially these days. These were NOT US flag, Jones act sailors. It was (to my understanding) a largely Indian crew on that ship, with a Ukrainian Captain. Indian crews are not exactly known for being stellar.    3) The bunkers (fuel) these ships use is ‘Bunker C’, which is a heavy, dirty fuel oil that can, and usually is, pretty contaminated. This stuff ain’t your car grade gasoline or diesel fuel. It’s nasty.   It requires nearly constant filter changes and maintenance to the engine/generators. The ship took on fuel prior to departing port, which would stir up all kinds of shit in the fuel tanks, which would contribute to particulates in the fuel lines/filters.    4) I’d say the posting of the chief engineer for Maserek above was pretty spot on as far as chain of events.    This was a shitty accident, with horrible timing and outcome. Not a terror attack.
    • I saw Lara's interview on Bannon's War Room, and that gave me pause for thought. Her conjecture depends primarily on the veracity of her sources. Regardless, if it's not applicable in any way to this ship disaster, the methods described seem valid to me. And worthy of consideration for the future. As I said before, IMO something is coming.
