carl_g 568 Posted January 9, 2015 Which would you get and why?
67gtonut 847 Posted January 9, 2015 I used to like the Shield..... until I tried the trigger of the new LC9s ...... wow ......
diamondd817 823 Posted January 9, 2015 Not on your list, but I would pick the Beretta Nano. Smaller than most on that list. Has no manual safety, and no external slide catch. Handles the 9mm recoil like a big gun. I am very accurate with it out to 7yds without using the sights, just point and shoot.
Old School 611 Posted January 9, 2015 No Kahr PM9????
Krdshrk 3,872 Posted January 9, 2015 Another vote for the Beretta Nano. I have one. Just added on a centerfire laser. It's snagless. Has 6 or 8 round mags. Long, relatively heavy trigger pull but it's a good trigger. As there's no safety and it's striker fired, I would prefer a long trigger pull like this anyway. brocglock23 4 Posted January 9, 2015 No love for the kahr pm9..... Wow. Also if you aren't dead set on a semi try the Ruger LCR. Thats how a trigger should feel. Btw voted for the xds. Changed to pm9
carl_g 568 Posted January 9, 2015 OK I added the Kahr and the Nano.

Changed to pm9 Ever take a PM9 apart? You know what it says inside? GLOCK If GLOCK made a single stack I'd be there. But since they do not, I'll take the next best thing. MidwestPX 172 Posted January 9, 2015 I carry a Shield sometimes. I prefer a G19 with a G26 backup though.
antimatter 139 Posted January 9, 2015 already have it - NANO all the way, great little gun!
carl_g 568 Posted January 9, 2015 interesting... Nano looks like a candidate to pocket carry on hot days.. I never considered it.. good feedback keep it coming.
Meissama 1 Posted January 9, 2015 If I had a use for a sub compact I would probably get a shield, I shot one and I enjoyed it for what it was. If CZ Ramis would single stack I would totally prefer one of those.
High Exposure 5,635 Posted January 9, 2015 I have a PM9. Had it for close to 7 years or so now. Great gun, reliable, nice trigger, usable sights, slim, lightweight, everything I wanted an a sub-compact single stack 9 - but it is expensive. I got lucky and bought it off a co-worker for ~$300. I shot a buddy's Shield. I want one now - but... I don't know of it will replace my PM9 as a carry gun.
Candyman87 10 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) The only two on that list I've ever enjoyed shooting are the G42 and PPS. Edited January 9, 2015 by Candyman87
millsan1 3 Posted January 9, 2015 I voted although I am allowed to carry. And carry both the Shield and G42.

Shocker 150 Posted January 9, 2015 I have a Shield, and carried it in PA before AG Kane fisted us all, but I still really want an XD-S. Possibly in .45 though.
carl_g 568 Posted January 9, 2015 Tanners just posted on their FB page that they are going to have sheids both safety and non safety versions for 349.. that might be hard to refuse.
T Bill 649 Posted January 9, 2015 Agree with 67gtonut, Ruger LC9s Pro. Handled one this past weekend, very nice. If it wasn't for NJ's stupid P2P, I would have one already.

SuRrEaLNJ 294 Posted January 10, 2015 My primary and what I have carried when in free America is an xdm, so the XD's would be the natural transition and would fit my programmed muscle memory naturally.
DeerSlayer 241 Posted January 10, 2015 Have one of these on order, which reminds me I need to go pay for this! Completely forgot until this thread jogged my memory. Been working all day and night this past week with the cold spell. If I don't see another frozen pipe or gelled oil tank until next winter it will be too soon. *** Update*** Paid in full waiting on permits, I'm excited! Scrap 4 Posted January 10, 2015 I have carried the Shield everyday all day, with few exceptions, since the first of August. And while I would not dare say that I could have had any pistol I wanted, I could have had any on your list . the Shield is superb, perhaps the perfect combination of a Service Caliber and duty-pistol and a concealed carry firearm. Its a joy to shoot and operate / maintain / etc. but you also forget you're carrying it several times a day. It would be nice to carry a show piece, but I love my shield. maintenanceguy 509 Posted January 10, 2015 I carry a Ruger LCP when I'm visiting America. I prefer pocket carry.

BlueLineFish 615 Posted January 10, 2015 I have a cm9. Hwve considered selling it to get a shield
millsan1 3 Posted January 11, 2015 do you like one better than the other? I prefer the shield, as it is 9MM and fits better in my hand, but I have no issues carrying the G42. Shoots well, accurate and 380 will still stop bad guys.
svt3183 14 Posted January 11, 2015 The LEO price at Atlantic Tactical is dirt cheap on the shield I have a cm9. Hwve considered selling it to get a shield
DeerSlayer 241 Posted January 13, 2015 Held the Boberg XR9-S today. Feels nice, quality is noticeable. Nice little gun, can't wait to get that permit in hand!
