jerseyfire 0 Posted January 31, 2015 I was asking Red Dot Firearms for a price on a Glock 19 Gen 4. And here was their response: "there are none that are available right now because the Navy has a contract out on him for about 24,000 of them" Luckily I was able to order one through Ira @ Legends. Anyone else have problems finding em?
MidwestPX 172 Posted January 31, 2015 They were scarce for a couple weeks but a shipment of them had to have arrived. They were offered to us on allocation by one of the larger distributors.
diamondd817 826 Posted January 31, 2015 Not sure I believe the Navy contract BS, but RTSP had no Glock 19's in stock today. They did however say they could get the 19 by Monday. So my buddy bought the Glock 17 Gen 4 instead. Actually he got the last one of those they had in stock.
ronhonda 86 Posted February 1, 2015 17 is a much better gun than the 19.
PK90 3,570 Posted February 1, 2015 17 is a much better gun than the 19. 18 is a much better gun than the 17.
intercooler 41 Posted February 1, 2015 but the 19 is 1 better
Underdog 1,593 Posted February 1, 2015 The Glock 23 with a 9mm conversion barrel is a better gun than the Glock 19 and a Glock 19 is a better gun than a Glock 17 (at least in this state), and the M&P 9 is better than all 3 of them, and made in the USA, but maybe not in this state with the magazine limitation. So, stick with the Glock 19, but get better sights. I believe Ramsey had G19s in stock.
RobertJames 14 Posted February 1, 2015 18 is a much better gun than the 17. The only Glock I'd own. True story.
diamondd817 826 Posted February 1, 2015 Well, well, my Glock 26 can beat up your Glock 19 and Glock 17 and Glock 18.
ronhonda 86 Posted February 1, 2015 Of course the 18 is the one glock to rule them all. But 17 or a 34 still better than a 19. Also I personally would rather have a 26 over a 19.

PD2K 115 Posted February 1, 2015 Interesting. One would think that the G19 G4 would be the one gun that was most readily available. Bud's has them albeit $7 more than what I usually see them online.
PD2K 115 Posted February 1, 2015 Why to all? Justify! Probably because the Glock 18 is full auto.
ronhonda 86 Posted February 1, 2015 Who would not want a g18? Everyone tends to lust after the things they cannot own(in our case legally) but IMHO I think the 17 is better than the 19. It fits MY hands better, I don't get the same rubbing during recoil on my strong hand middle finger knuckle. Seems most people get the 19 because of the mag capacity issue. I rather have a gun that fit better in my hands instead of a gun thAt has 15 round mags. Also the VP9 is probably the nicest gun out there that is similar in size to the 19. Out of the box it's just right.
High Exposure 5,664 Posted February 1, 2015 Here's a G19 for sale by a forum vendor: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/classifieds/item/3873-featured-deal-for-today-glock-19/ Oh, and I wouldn't want a G18. Fun for a few mags but relatively useless in FA.
mipafox 438 Posted February 1, 2015 If you put a 1911 and a Glock in a box overnight you will find a 1911 and some plastic shavings in the morning.

Howard 538 Posted February 1, 2015 The G34 is TWICE as good as a G17 What makes the G18 so awesome is the little lever in the back
