Lecky 1 Posted February 20, 2015 Hello all, I was wondering what people's opinions were on how many magazines per gun they should have?
locochinoloco 0 Posted February 20, 2015 I have at least 5 per gun...
DSD1026 48 Posted February 20, 2015 if 20 people answer, you will get 20 different answers.. lol. i personally have 6 for each of my semi auto handguns. 8 for my 15-22 and I will have 4 to start with once i finish my AR (and will get more over time)
notmetoo 41 Posted February 20, 2015 Let's see two answers so far, so I want mine to be different. 8 for my handguns and anywhere from 10 (Ruger 10/22) to 16 (AR-15) to 40 (Enbloc clips).
1LtCAP 3,885 Posted February 20, 2015 6 each handgun. at LEAST 6 per rifle. working on increasing that one though.
cam29906 2 Posted February 20, 2015 i find that it depends on your expected use..... any hand gun I buy and decide i'm keeping I try to get 6-8 magazines if I may shoot it at a handgun match. I also pick up any good deal I find for hard to find or afford magazines (Sig, H&K, etc), And when the zombies come I don't want to have to reload rounds on the way to Terminus.... boo 6 Posted February 20, 2015 I like to have at least five. Two to keep at home loaded with HD ammo, three to bring to the range (for the gun and dual mag carrier).
1563621 388 Posted February 20, 2015 My 30 cal. ammo cases hold about 70 mags for the 45s. Plus the spam cans for the garands. Lots!
ronhonda 86 Posted February 21, 2015 At least 8 for hg, and 50 for a ar?
MidwestPX 172 Posted February 21, 2015 I'm really bad about mags. If I see a good deal for them, I buy. I probably have 50+ Glock 17/19 mags. Mags are consumables. Shoot enough and they need to be replaced. I like having plenty on-hand.
Vicious 128 Posted February 21, 2015 Technically speaking, all of you Garand owner only have one MAGAZINE per rifle. Just sayin'. I try to have 5 per gun.

ECsandstar 28 Posted February 21, 2015 I have about 10 per handgun, 5 for my mp15-22, and 5 ar mags...that is soon to increase with some hexmags from remixer.
Kaiser7 33 Posted February 21, 2015 I try to keep around 4-5, but that's more budgetary constraints. I feel that if you see a good deal on mags, then it's worth picking them up. Eventually they'll wear out, and you'll have backups, or can salvage parts or whatever. But especially since 15-round mags are harder to find (and more expensive when you do find them), I generally just think that picking them up when you see a good price is the best idea. Scrap 4 Posted February 21, 2015 As many as I can get for every gun I have. Some I only have 2 mags , whereas I bet between my 9 and .40 Glocks I have 20-30 total. A bunch of my guns have about 4-6.
1LtCAP 3,885 Posted February 21, 2015 Technically speaking, all of you Garand owner only have one MAGAZINE per rifle. Just sayin'. I try to have 5 per gun. always have plenty of clips on hand. do you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to load those dam things?
DeerSlayer 241 Posted February 21, 2015 I have a dozen G19 mags, and about 2 to 3 for all my other guns. Mini 14 I probably have 10 all together but I have 4 of them. I need more 10/22 mags. AR mags I have the most of close to 40 I imagine, some metal most Plastic. Never counted them all, can never have too many of those. Think I have 6 double stack AK mags 4 steel and 2 poly. I could also use a few more 1911 mags.

45Doll 4,935 Posted February 21, 2015 Three standard mags per pistol, plus three 10-round mags per pistol which 'standard' mags are over 10. That's for when the next NJ Democrat governor signs the 10-round limit bill.

PD2K 115 Posted February 21, 2015 I like to have at least five. Two to keep at home loaded with HD ammo, three to bring to the range (for the gun and dual mag carrier). Me too. For my SD pistols, I have 3 magazines for each pistol for the range and two magazines loaded with SD ammo at home - total of 5 magazines. I rotate the magazines every time I go to the range. But for my "range" pistols, I only keep 3 magazines.
JohnnyB 3,994 Posted February 22, 2015 For guns that I plan to use for fun only. 2 to 3 magazines are enough. for SD guns, minimum of 5. As for my AR.........you can never have too many magazines! No time to reload mags when the zombies attack as they are already dead and it takes more rounds than usual to kill them a second time.
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted February 23, 2015 I go for 5 per at least but I currently have 12 1911 mags
checko 179 Posted February 23, 2015 I start to feel better at around 10 mags if anything other than a range toy. Otherwise 2 is fine with me Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
