Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted March 19, 2015 just realized that cabella's charged me sales tax. lol bastages... And just when powder is available now the small pistol primers are out of stock. Can't catch a break.
FishHunter 0 Posted March 19, 2015 Check Graf's or Midway, they usually have them at good price. Gene Solomon's can be counted on for primers as well. You may pay a few bucks more but you will have them
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted March 19, 2015 Hoped to save the haz mat fee by doubling up, you know. I should have picked some up when I was there 2 weeks ago. I've got 4,000 on hand, and now with this powder I'm feeling some relief knowing I've got a decent supply of material on hand. Need some bullets and I'll be good for a while. Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted March 19, 2015 Thanks Man. I've got 4k on hand, that'll hold me over for a while, but I appreciate you looking out for me. I don't care what JonF says....you're OK in my book!

Golf battery 1,223 Posted March 20, 2015 Tried to get 5 - 1 lb of cfe pistol. At cabelas. I figured ship it to Delaware and pick it up. They wont do that. There's no angle to get it unless you have an out of state address
ReadDude 0 Posted March 20, 2015 Thanks for the heads up. I was driving north on I-95 and stopped in Delaware. They had 3 1 lb. canisters of Titegroup on the shelf, that was it. no CFE. They probably just put out a bit at a time. Sadly, the Berry's .45 shelf was bare. that plated bullet sale cleared out most of the bullets. Commuting long distance has its (minor) advantages.... FishHunter 0 Posted March 20, 2015 Try checking with Chayenne Mountain. If they have powder in stock, they will set it aside for you. I like to order plated bullets from Extreme. Great price, low shipping, no tax, great product
Golf battery 1,223 Posted March 20, 2015 Believe it or not. Cheyenne does usually have powder to cover most rifles and handguns. I just dont want to pay tax and the price they have to charge.
FishHunter 0 Posted March 20, 2015 I've paid their price to get 1-2 lbs. online savings are great but the hazmat and shipping kill that if not purchasing large qty. the 5lb I got from Cabelas still came out to $28/lb. The most u save is around 0.01 per round in powder cost.
carl_g 568 Posted March 20, 2015 kind of off topic but is titegroup a ball powder? Any problems with metering this stuff? I might want to give it a try.
FishHunter 0 Posted March 20, 2015 For 9mm and 40. - great stuff. Especially for minor PF loads. Meters very well
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted March 20, 2015 By the time I add in the haz mat and shipping on the powder from cabella's and powder valley I wound up paying more per pound than what I just paid for 231 at Soloman's. I'd prefer to buy locally but he rations the quantity, which I fully understand and appreciate, but at this stage I'll take what I can get. I won't need to buy powder now for probably 2 years or better. Phew...
Vlad G 345 Posted March 20, 2015 I won't need to buy powder now for probably 2 years or better. Phew... Wait until you seriously start reloading .223 or any high volume rifle. You will never feel you have enough powder
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted March 20, 2015 We are a WAYS away from that happening. lol
