Newtonian 453 Posted April 14, 2015 Anybody have recent positive experiences with wedding bands? Daughter is getting hitched in August. We're looking for a group that can do everything from standards to rock to funk. Yeah, funk.
coldsolderjoint 84 Posted April 14, 2015 http://www.weddingwire.com/biz/chris-thomas-music-key-west/f182606bfc333ef3.html We used this guy for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He spends the summers in NJ and the winters in Key West. He was great and accommodated my wife's extensive selection of songs. Everyone loved his music. I know he does things with Bands, but not sure if that is a side project. Might be worth an email to find out.

Newtonian 453 Posted April 14, 2015 I can't remember the last wedding I went to that had a band. All have used DJs. Believe me the thought crossed my mind. Or even an iPod. Not something I feel like getting divorced over, however.
Newtonian 453 Posted April 14, 2015 Can't help you. When I got married, Lavolta was the hot ticket. We had a "group" named Sign of Leo at our wedding. Organist and drummer. They both had gas-powered side instruments as well. Use your imagination.
Newtonian 453 Posted April 14, 2015 No matter what the age of the bride and groom they have to play some Sinatra or Dean Martin. Yeah we're looking for a broad range of capabilities here. I also don't want to have to wear ear protection.
