Handgun purchase permit

Hello All,

 

I'm thinking to buy a new handgun, and I need to go to PD to get a new Handgun purchase permit.

I know I have to filled up same form as I did for FID and handgun purchase permit, last time.

Can you please tell me if I need to go over fingerprints + 2 feedbacks from my friends, in order to get just a purchase permit?

At your municipality's CLEO's discretion, you may have to be fingerprinted again. The vast majority of towns will only require a non-criminal background check (SBI-212A) in lieu of fingerprints, which can be done on line. Yes you need to list two references, it's part of the application process.
