Yuengling in NJ

I moved back here in 96 and "discovered" it shortly thereafter. One of my father inlaw's friends had a boat and we would go fishing with him. He swore he could drink as much Yuengling as he wanted and NEVER had a hangover

 

I want to take the take a tour of the brewery some day. I remember looking years ago and I think they have festival once a year.

 

Yuengling Porter is my "go to" beer. Good to hear the family gives back. I'll gladly drink.....er, I mean support that!

I think it is funny that Yuengling wasn't available in NJ until recently. Talk about distribution.. 

At least 25 years ago. One of my buddies loved it but it gave me headaches and most people didn't like it. Mid 90s (?) they had the black and tan stuff and that was horrible.

I've been all over this country and seen grizzlies and moose up close, you name it. I was in Alaska when 4 freeks in a van were killed plowing into a moose (no that is not a George Carlin skit).

 

The only place I ever saw bear roadkill was on Route 61 in Pottsville. Right in the dead center of town. That black F'er was completely tenderized and flattened out from head to toe. Obviously had several trucks roll over it.

If you did a taste test between the tap and bottled versions you would not even know they are the same beer. It's a bigger difference that Guinness tap and bottled.

Not sure where the heck you guys have been, but I've been getting it locally for 20+ years.
