SLOPE5623 5 Posted June 17, 2015 I guess I'm seeking assistance with interpretation of the written law, but who isn't right? It's my understanding that two of the "evils" must be met? So, to keep it simple, is a Hk 45ct with threaded barrel and extended elephant foot mag illegal? Sorry if this has been covered. JT Custom Guns 956 Posted June 17, 2015 Yes it is legal as long as the mag does not exceed 15rds - I believe the 45Ct comes in either 8 or 10 rds so it should be good to go in NJ
SLOPE5623 5 Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks for info. You're correct max cap is 10 rnds. I was thrown off by Rule- "Mag that attaches to pistol outside of the grip". So this does not include extended mag.? Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JT Custom Guns 956 Posted June 17, 2015 No - That is a reference to pistols that take mags in a mag-well not in the grip. Like an AR pistol, AK pistol, Tec-9, UZi, ect.........
SLOPE5623 5 Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks for clarifying. Much appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1LtCAP 4,259 Posted June 17, 2015 It depends. are you home? at your fixed place of business? at the range? at the gunsmith? in transit to or from any of those? if not, it's illegal.
