a bolt gun for myself

Got the action trued and the barrel spun up.

Took the chassis a part and gave it a little od green cerakote. The barreled action along with the rails will be painted as well. I haven't decided on a color yet.

 

Here it is with all the parts mocked up. Hopefully I'll get to finish it within the next week or two.

Chris,

 

26 nosler, 26 inch, surefire brake. Truing is making sure that the face of the action is square to threads inside the reciever and making sure the lugs have full contact on the receiver abutments. This could mean cutting new receiver threads and/or cutting the face square to the threads, cutting and lapping the bolt lugs and abutments.

So, you just grind everything down on the driveway until it looks good?
