What 22LR semiauto's to look for, need advice

Recommended Posts

As stated earlier, my wife hate guns!!! The Ruger SR22 felt so good in her hands that she agreed to go to the range with me! A miracle! She actually enjoyed shooting it!

Do yourself a favor and  don't overlook this one! I love it as well!

M&P 22 and Walther PPQ 22 are worth taking a look at as well. I love my S&W 22A, however it can be difficult to manipulate the "slide". Only the rear section of the pistol moves, which can make it slightly difficult to manipulate. I find I have to pinch it with my index finger and thumb to load.

Thanks all,

I do like Ruger as a company and own two of their revolvers but I've heard that the dis-assembly and assembly process on the Mark III can be a challenge, how bad is it really?

In case you didn't see this, Ruger just announced the Mark IV which specifically addresses this problem ... https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/9/22/ruger-introduces-one-button-takedown-mark-iv-pistol/
